Tate sighting in Indiana!

According to Daniel Weinberg of the Brunswick Branch Library, International Master Emory Tate will be at “ChessFest 6” at the W.E.B. DuBois Branch of the Gary Public Library on August 4, 2012 from 12:30 to 3:30pm.

Born on the westside of Chicago, Tate spent his most formative years near Gary, Indiana where he became renown for his tactical skills. A four-time Armed Forces champion and former Indiana State Champion, he has been frequently honored by the chess community.

Longtime Indiana resident NM Bernard Parham, originator of the Parham attack (1.e5 and 2.Qh5), will also be at ChessFest 6.
