Team Profile

Consisting of St. Maarten, Curaçao, and Bonaire, the Netherlands Antilles has been a participant in many Olympiad including the 1996 which is pictured on the right. This small contingent of  islands is known for nice vacation spots, friendly natives and the staccato of Papaimento, the Dutch Creole spoken by the natives.

This squad will be led by Sherman Maduro with the up-and-coming junior player Marvin Dekker holding board #2. Dekker scored 6-5 in Bled and since that time placed 2nd in the Sagicor Open in Barbados Junior Open and the national champion of Curaçao.
