BREAKING NEWS! Pontus Carlsson has reportedly earned his 3rd and final GM norm by winning the Torneig Internacional Ciutat de Sóller by a clear point with 6˝-2˝. The official tournament website confirmed this news. His feat makes him the 16th Grandmaster in Sweden. He also becomes the latest confirmed player of African descent to earn the GM rank.
