Peter Myers, "LASCO Chess League resume at RBTT Bank,"  Jamaican Chess Federation, 23 June 2006 (Clarendon, Jamaica).

After breaking for the 2006 Chess Olympiad held in Turin, Italy, the LASCO Chess League resumes this Saturday with the playing of Round 10 at the RBTT Bank Headquarters at 17 Dominica Drive in New Kingston.

After nine rounds of play, the Blitzkrieg Boys are on 24½ points, three full points ahead of their nearest rivals Knightmares, who are on 21½ points followed by Varcon CC on 19 and Gladiators on 18. The rest of the standings are King Rippers 11, Reggae Knights 9½ and Little Giants 4½.

The pairings for Round 10 are as follows: Reggae Knights vs Varcon CC, Knightmares vs Little Giants and Blitzkrieg Boys vs King Rippers. Gladiators have a bye.

Please note that Round 11 will be played on Sunday at the normal time and venue, 1 pm at the Holy Childhood Library.

Annual General Meeting of the Jamaica Chess Federation

The League will be immediately followed at 2 pm at the same venue, by the Annual General Meeting of the Jamaica Chess Federation, which had to be adjourned prematurely last weekend. The Agenda is attached.

ALL CHESS ENTHUSIASTS MAY ATTEND BOTH THE CHESS LEAGUE AND THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, WHETHER YOU ARE A MEMBER OF THE JAMAICA CHESS FEDERATION OR NOT.
