GM Maurice Ashley will unveil his new book, "Chess for Success" at the Maryland Hyattsville Public Library in Prince Georges County (Adelphi Road and Route 410-East West Highway). The book-signing will take place on September 13th at 7:00pm.

Ashley's book was released in August and has received positive feedback from many chess notables including
Bruce Pandolfini.  "Chess for Success" is an intriguing treatise championing the virtues of chess. It is written as a part-testimonial and part-autobiographical account of how chess channels energy in a positive fashion.

Ashley told The Chess Drum that he has a number of book signings which will begin on September 13th. It is hopeful that the book will become somewhat of a handbook for understanding how chess can be a positive activity to incorporate in schools. This has become a popular initiative and hopefully the book can further this notion.
