Early upsets rock Jamaica's National Championship!!

Jamaica

Two favorites of the Jamaican National Championship have been upset in 1st round action! Jamaica's #1 player in NM Shane Matthews and Jamaican Federation President, FM Grantel Gibbs went into the tournament with the intent of adding to their vast collection of accolades earned in Jamaican national tournaments. While there is still plenty of time left, their first round drubbings at the hand of Candidate Masters will certainly send a message that there won't be any points given away in this tournament. Defending champion NM Warren Elliott won his game to stay on course for a successful defense of his title. Stay tuned for updates from Jamaica!
