My Game Plan: My Quest to Become a Chess Grandmaster (Kenny Solomon)

  1. I didn’t know there was a 4th black Grand master. I don’t see him on the wall of fame with the other 3.

    1. That Wall of Fame was done in 2007, before he became a GM. He is in a group photo from the Wilbert Paige tournament at the bottom of the wall.

Actually that are a lot more GMs than people know. It’s into the double digits. He have long ignored Latin America. Did you know Orlevis Mitjans?

The first Black GM is also from Cuba… Roman Hernandez.
