Eagle Chess Academy crowns Queens
EAGLE Chess Academy will host the Touch of Elegance Chess Tournament on Saturday, July 5, 2008. This royal event will take place at the Upper Marlboro Library, 14730 Main St., Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 from 10:00am-5:00pm. It is a tournament for females only.
EAGLE Chess Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, established to promote and teach the game of chess, passing on educational, recreational, and social benefits to scholastic aged children in the MD/DC metropolitan area. The primary educational objective for teaching chess to children is to help improve their ability to think effectively.
Founded in 2004 by Ted Fagan, EAGLE Chess Academy currently is the largest organization promoting and providing chess instruction in PG County and one of the largest in the state of Maryland, having impacted thousands of youth and their families.
