2013 Zambian National Championships

The Chess Federation of Zambia wishes to advise that the 2013 Zambia Closed Invitational Chess Championships will be held at the Henry’s Courtyard in Mansa from Friday 29th March to 1st March 2013. (Foreign players will be invited)

In addition to the main event, the Zambia Closed Invitational Chess Championship section, the tournament will also incorporate the National Individual Chess Championship (open) and the National Individual Ladies Chess Championship.

The Championship event will be for the title of the 2013 Zambia Closed Invitational Chess Championship whilst the National Championships events will produce the National Individual Chess Championship (open) and the National Individual Ladies Chess Championship for the year 2013. These National Championships top five will produce the National Team for 2013 whilst the top three champions will automatically qualify to represent Zambia at the 2013 Zone 4.3 and The 2013 African Individual Chess Championships to be hosted by Botswana and Tunisia respectively.
