Join “1000 Likes” Fundraiser!

The Chess Drum is launching a “1000 LIKES” Fall fundraising campaign to reach 1000 Facebook “Likes”, 1000 Twitter followers and US$1000 in funds raised. The funds will go toward a site renovation project destined for the 12th anniversary of the website February 2013.

Over the years The Chess Drum has covered thousands of human-interest stories besides some of the major events around the world. The site has more than 10,000 pages of content while approaching 2000 news stories, 70 audio interviews, hundreds of essays/op-ed pieces and countless chess travelogues to places like Bahrain, Jamaica, Trinidad, Qatar, Kenya, and Cuba and finally on site coverage in selected events including four Olympiad tournaments (2004 Spain, 2006 Italy, 2008 Germany, 2012 Turkey).
