Peter Myers, Vice President of the Jamaican Chess Federation has been a tireless worker in promoting chess on the island. Myers was  the chief organizer of the RBTT Girls' Team Championships and was interviewed by a local television station. Expressing optimism, Myers stated that he was "very satisfied with the turn out" and hopes to have more activities to draw more women toward chess.
