 ayel Taylor turned five years old today! What better birthday present can a chess player get than to be immortalized by one of the world's best websites? Frederic Friedel and Susan Grumer featured Jayel in a very nice story about his humble beginnings as a budding chess player and his other activities. Freddie and Krystal Taylor are the proud parents of the boy that many believe has a special gift. Jayel is very energetic and is a positive influence on his younger brother, Freddie III.
Earlier this year, I met Jayel at the Chicago Open for the first time. He has boundless energy and socializes with ease. Over the past year, I found that the two of us have something in common besides chess and being rabid Chicago Cub baseball fans. We are cousins! Time will tell whether Jayel will challenge me to a sparring match! When you do Jayel… bring your "A" game!
