ChessBase.com does nice write-up on GM Ashley

Today on February 4th, GM Maurice Ashley will be featured on America's Public Broadcasting Station (PBS) in commemoration of Black History Month. The program will be hosted by Henry Louis "Skip" Gates and has featured other notables in the Black community. Susan Grumer wrote a nice piece on GM Ashley at ChessBase.com which featured some very nice photographs of the Jamaican-born Grandmaster.

As always the personable and popular Ashley represents well and continues to blaze the trails by marketing chess as a positive outlet for Black youth. Those who have not seen GM Ashley will be in for a treat. He has most recently appeared as ESPN's lead announcer in the
Kasparov-X3D match and is known for his incisive and exciting commentary style. Please check the local listing for the air times in your area.
