Visa appeal successful! Nsubuga cleared for U.S. journey!

This morning International Arbiter, Jerry Bibuld received good news out of Kampala, Uganda. It was relayed to him by Ugandan Chess Federation President Dan Nsibambi, that NM Grace Nsubuga has been granted a U.S. visa. This decision came after relentless pressure from the local Ugandan officials and active efforts by the media to bring light of the issue.  In short, former national champion and Olympic star Grace Nsubuga will be on hand to participate in two international tournaments, the World Open (June 30-July 8), and the Wilbert Paige Memorial (July 14-23).
