Keisha Ramator is the new Jamaican Blitz Queen!!

Keisha Ramator of UTECH easily defeated Nemoi Chisholm of Immaculate Conception High School 13 - 1 in the Jamaica National Women's Blitz Chess Championship on Saturday, June 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the Island Life Shopping Centre.  At the end of the first recess in the best of 24 games match, Ms. Ramator had a commanding lead of 7 - 1 having lost game 4 by disqualification. Keisha Ramator was presented with the beautiful Claire Clarke Shield and a replica of the same by former Jamaica women's chess champion Claire Clarke. Ms. Ramator will also receive a chess book on endgames, while runners-up, Nemoi Chisholm will receive a book voucher compliments of Sangsters Book Store.
